Busajo Campus
Busajo Campus project, in the city of Soddo in Ethiopia, is a tale of international cooperation that presupposes the ability of a high-level cultural exchange.
DESIGN AND REALIZATION OF AN EDUCATIONAL CENTER
Busajo Campus is a territorial structure that offers hospitality, advice and training to “street” children from Soddo, a medium-sized Ethiopian city. Busajo’s project is the story of a group of people belonging to the “privileged” western world who interact with an economically fragile part of a “southern” society, with the aim, as in any exchange, of mutually enriching each other.
The activities of the Campus, in constant connection with the government authorities, are aimed at contrasting the strong increase in street children and the disturbing phenomenon of female child prostitution.
INFORMATIONS
Studio Benaim directed the construction, worked on the interior and green spaces design of Busajo Campus. The intervention was designed by the project team: André Benaim, Fabio Azzato and Stefano Combet, with the collaboration of the architect Danilo Gentili.
