To the cry of “vintage!” we were asked to build an inexpensive place with a modest budget.
We were able to satisfy the demand with the use of recycled materials, but with a strong personality, revisited in a contemporary key. The entrance system on Via delle Caldaie was solved with the reuse of old glass doors, while inside a large counter, made by reassembling reclaimed staves from old barriques, gives grit to the room.
The floor is partly in raw iron plates, partly made up of reclaimed boards. Lighting fixtures were invented through the use of old luminous signs or ordinary bottles. Today the management place has changed, and so did the colors and the lighting fixtures.
Studio Benaim worked on the internal renovation, interior and furniture design of Cibi restaurant. The intervention was designed by the project team: André Benaim and Massimiliano Arnone.
