Villa in San Casciano
A typical Tuscan farmhouse within a property characterized by splendid olive groves and orderly rows of ancient vineyards.
RENOVATION
The pre-existing building and its annexes, practically in a state of ruin, were characterized by rather fragmented spaces, modest heights of the rooms and frequent differences in level between the various rooms. The work focused on the redevelopment and new articulation of the space with the creation of double-height spaces, the reopening of old windows and a more fluid distribution that has significantly increased the visual permeability both inside the building and in relation to the surrounding landscape.
The entrance system to the house has been overturned, allowing the large yard surrounded by the buildings to become an intimate family lounge for outdoor living.

Studio Benaim worked on the restoration, internal and external renovation, and the interior design of the Villa in San Casciano. The intervention was handled by the project team: André Benaim, Francesca Pini and Sofia Lalli.
