Villa in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa

The restoration project of a 14th-century Tuscan farmhouse with two outbuildings, immersed in a typical Tuscan landscape surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, near a small stretch of water.

RESTORATION OF A FARMHOUSE IN CHIANTI

The pre-existing building and its annexes, in a state of ruin, were characterized by loose spaces and severely degraded architectural structures. The farmhouse, although agricultural, was distinguished by the unusual presence of large vaulted structures. The restauration project has reconstructed the barrel vaults on the ground floor, restored the original openings, such as the main entrance door, and created greater connection between the different spaces.

The two barns are being restored and will be linked to each other, and to the villa, by a small landscape intervention that will follow the natural slope with small terraces.
