Borgo di Fontebussi
The project of this multipurpose facility is located on the first Chianti hills, where is the village of Fontebussi, a small town entirely dedicated to tourism hospitality.
RENOVATION AND INTERIOR DESIGN
The intervention is linked to catering with the creation of a new space for events and weddings. The area chosen for the new construction is located on a green slope, surmounted by the village of small stone houses. In such a delicate context it was decided to create an “invisible” building, exploiting the underground space and transforming the steep slope into green terraces supported by local stone walls.
The first terrace at the base of the slope, lightened by cloisters with brick arches recalling the traditional lemon houses, hides the large restaurant room and the kitchens. The green roof of the new building is enriched by a vegetable garden with wooden caissons, stone walls and walkways that matches with the existing dry stone walls.
