Ethiopian Satellite Preschool
Ethiopian Satellite Preschool is a design competition dedicated to the world of children in Ethiopia.
DESIGN OF A SATELLITE SCHOOL IN ETHIOPIA
The project conceives the Preschool first of all as a social and cultural space, where children can feel at home to start their school experience. The complex develops over time in four phases, all equally independent.
The courtyard layout of the buildings and the use of sunshade screens were the tools to create protected, shaded outdoor spaces, suitable for hosting meetings, social interactions and games for children of various ages.

Studio Benaim participated in the Ethiopian Satellite Preschool competition. The presented project was curated by the project team: André Benaim, Stefano Combet, Camila Siqueira Vanassi, Maedeh Yavarkhani; in collaboration with the architect Danilo Gentili.
